Ph.D in Machanics of Materials and Structures (MMS) – Civil Engineer

 

Dr. Aliou Badara CAMARA has over 7 years experience in Civil Engineering. Currently, Aliou Badara is an Associate professor at Ecole Polytechnique de Thiès (EPT), focusing on Calculation of Structures, Metallic Construction and Numerical Simulation. He is multilingual, fluently speaking Soninke, Wolof, Bambara, French, English and lives by his motto “I rise by uplifting others”. Aliou Badara is committed to training young Africans in the STEM domain because we are the future of this beautiful continent and is playing his role in helping Senegal to have qualified workforce in the Civil Engineering domain. He has written some scientific articles. Dr. CAMARA is also interested in the Green Transition, the Just transition, and the Circular Economy. Furthermore, he is part of the project team for NbS4AfrRes (Erasmus+), funded by the European Union. (https://www.ru.ac.za/nbs4afrres/)

Dr. CAMARA was one of the 2022 Mandela Washington Fellows. His placement was Bridgewater State University (Boston, Massachusetts) in  Leadership in Public Management tract.
